Timmy has been working in collaboration and in aid of The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway Trust Charity (www.kwvr.co.uk) on a collection of six Original Pieces and three Limited Editions that celebrate the 40th anniversary of the making of the classic British film The Railway Children. The film was made on the railway line in 1970 and many of the carriages used in the film are still in service today. The KWVR Trust own and operate the railway line and is supported solely by dedicated volunteers and kind donations only. The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway will be holding a special event over the up and coming Bank Holiday Weekend of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd May 2010 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the making of The Railway Children. The event will include guided tours of the film sets, recreations of famous scenes and visitors can view the locomotives and coaches used in this classic film. Visitors can also of course travel the line and stop at the world famous Oakworth Station where many of the famous scenes were created 40 years ago. The six Timmy Mallett original Pieces will be premiered at the above detailed event weekend and Signed Limited Edition Prints along with the Original Pieces will be available to purchase. A donation from the sale of all the limited editions and originals will be made to the Railway Trust. Directions to the Keighley And Worth Valley Railway: Click Here |
